I'm now a world traveler, and it's loads of fun. I think I rather suit the lifestyle of being nomadic, but long are gone the old ways of what I used to think what travel is all about. Now I travel with a purpose and an on-going income.

Hi I'm Tania Hassounia - there seems to be a growing community 'out there' in net-ville who are living this new lifestyle - I'm one of those - we're called 'digital nomads', but they come with other cool naming-words like 'location independent' and 'solopreneur' - new trendy words for a lifestyle designer such as myself. Yet I've a different niche than my traveling colleagues - read on.

I'm from New Zealand, in my early 40's and a mother to one daughter who now resides in Australia touring the country as a vocalist for a music ministry group and having a ball. Me? We I'm in my second year of full time traveling through my graphic design and illustration business Drawer Full of Giants. Not only do I work remotely, but the purpose of my traveling is so I can also volunteer my professional services to ministries  as a self-supporting volunteer.

It's been a great deal, as I get to do what I most enjoy - travel and meet new and exciting people - while also being of real service to places that could really use a hand design-wise but don't have the budget to afford a professional designer. The deal is - I'm flown into the ministry that's invited me, given a room and fed for the duration I'm with them - usually weeks to a couple of months. I work 20 hours a week for them and spend the other half working for myself and my paying clients.

So I'm in essence a ministry to ministries. You can read about some of my experiences in my blog posts. I do my best to be real and open with my time, some of it hard, some plain old funny, while others are inspiring. You can see my work on my website and facebook page.
